WHITE HOUSE BYRON HINTERLAND

Nestled amongst the rainforest in the hinterland of Byron Bay, Revelations is a sustainable retreat, designed to accomodate guests and residents.

Hosting friends was clear in the brief from the start. With this in mind, all of the joinery, furniture, services and amenities were scaled to suit. The Island bench comfortably serves as a breakfast bar for seven.

Working with the existing southern orientation, the central gathering space connects guests to the natural surroundings. The Vergola roof harnesses the northern light whilst providing shelter for all seasons.

Tradespeople lent their combined decades of experience and skill to deliver the stairway.

Steel balusters were fabricated from scratch with a custom timber handrail crafted to match.
The staircase itself was formed by our team of carpenters and apprentices from solid hardwood.
Our electricians illuminated each tread with a gentle glow of warm light.

  • louvred vergola roof to capture northern light.
